Radio
From corporate training days through to live productions with Primary Schools, no matter the age, background or ability we’ll work with you to deliver a Radio project which is inclusive, engaging and fun.
Radio workshops are usually a day long and involve your team splitting to work independently and in small groups to create creative content for a live radio broadcast production which happens at the end of the workshop. The production is recorded live, so preparation and practice runs happen throughout the day.
The end of day production will usually incorporate individual components, which include:
- Presenters introducing music and topical discussion
- News, Sport and Travel
- An online drama (usually a Soap)
- A factual report
- A commercial
- Live interviews and debate
With our support all of the above require teams within your group to:
- Learn about the radio industry
- Develop a Radio brand aimed at a specific audience
- Plan and schedule a production suitable for the targeted audience
- Learn how to work the Radio studio, we use the real industry standard technology
- Make music Jingles and Beds to be played throughout the show
- Research and write content suitable for broadcast
At the end of the day, we record the show at a set time. The experience will show a very busy group learning how to work to a tight deadline, there is always something for everyone to do!
Here is an example of a Radio Play written and performed by young people as part of one of our Radio Play workshops:
Here is a short movie showing one of our Radio Production workshops just before their show went on air, you’ll see the learners doing their final checks and preparations:

We’ve also lots of experience in the set up of Radio Stations for organisations, and helping to incorporate Radio production into the National Curriculum too!
